Eco Tourism Business Seeks Funding

Opportunity Summary

'Eco-expeditions' will operate ecotourism programmes in rainforest sites across Southeast Asia and West Africa. 

Eco-expeditions is an adventure tourism business that will sell jungle trekking packages combined with ecology - whereby the client treks through primary rainforest and learns about how 'it all works'.  By the end of the 7 day trek they will have had a life-changing adventure and will understand how the plants and animals of the forest interact and depend on each other - the ecology of the forest.
 
Operations will begin in Malaysia and across to Ghana within the first 12 months .  Our plans are now quite advanced and we are in discussions with a local Welsh adventure tourism company, in delivering this product.  A percentage of the profits will go towards paying local poeple to do conservation work on their own forest.  We will be working closely with in-country and UK Universities who we are currently liasing with.
