Zarmani Events is an event management business based in Zimbabwe, with representatives in the United Kingdom and in the United States.  Our core competencies are the wedding planning and coordination, and corporate event planning.  Zarmani Events will also undertake planning in other events, like engagement parties, hen nights and birthdays.  In line with our strategy to provide a total integrated service, Zarmani Events also provides web hosting and web designing services for vendors and suppliers to the wedding industry.  To date, Zarmani Events has planned and coordinated its own launch and a wedding expo in Harare, Zimbabwe, a corporate launch in Zimbabwe for a restaurant and a charity dinner for Operations Impact () – a well-known international charity and managed to raise the equivalent of £500.  We have also managed to arrange two business partnerships with a software development company and a bridal outfit designer, in a bid to increase awareness.  In Zimbabwe, our competitors are the established equipment hire companies and other start up event management businesses.  The established hire companies are at an advantage as they also possess the equipment than an event management company would enquire about, and they also have an established client base which is essential for event management businesses.  Other event management companies are at a disadvantage as they do not have a web presence, which limits their exposure.  Zarmani Events is at an advantage in this respect as our web site has been instrumental in attracting enquiries, and other current clients have stated that they searched for event management on the internet and found us.  Our other advantage is that our presence in the UK and US gives corporate and other clients the confidence that we will source quality goods for them, and that we will operate to an international standard. 

We have identified the need for event management organisations across Africa and we have decided adapt our business model to run like a franchise.  This will involve a small investment on the part of the partner, and in return Zarmani Events will provide office equipment, stationery and a local web site, as well as business systems to plan and manage events.  The partners will become responsible for planning events and referring others for their region, and in return they also keep 60% of earnings.
