Fine Wine Shop Looking For Investors

Opportunity Summary

TABLE WINE

Table Wine is a full service retail wine shop specializing in 500 wines under $20.00 a bottle. The business will feature an elaborate, full-service website where purchases can be made on-line with an easy to use, click and purchase shopping cart. Table Wine will also have a winebar inside the store with eight round bar tables with seating forRespond to this opportunity. Free tastings will be offered 4-8pm Thursday through Saturday each week with 6-8 wines and a different theme every week. Weekly wine classes will be taught as well.

The Website will be marketed nationwide with the explosion of retail wine business over the internet and changing shipping laws for wine nationwide. There are no stores in Minnesota with successful "click and buy" websites and none of them are even trying to market their products nationwide.

Minnesota has one of the greatest and widest selections of boutique  and rare wines available to retail stores with over 50 wine wholesalers and many products are not available in most other states nationwide. They can be marketed nationally with great success through a website.

Table Wine will open their doors with one of the most experienced and knowledgable staffs in the Midwest. The Owner/Proprietor brings over 33 years experience in the fine wine business to the “table”. He has experience building stores going back to his days with MGM Liquor Warehouse in the early 1980s and has helped build and set over a dozen stores in the Twin Cities over the years along with building The Wine Merchant in Orlando Florida back in 1987, three Vin de Pays stores in Southern California (Respond to this opportunity), Catavinos Wines in Tucson Arizona in 2007 and two Wine Cask stores in Central California inRespond to this opportunity. (Resume available upon request).

THE BUSINESS PLAN

The concept for Table Wine is from a business plan originally developed in 1994 and brought into fruition in 2002 as a retail store called VIN DE PAYS. The first “Vin de Pays” store was built in Downtown Long Beach California with an original investment of $15,000 in a 900 square foot space. By year three the store was doing close to $400,000 a year in business and had expanded to a 2100 square foot spot with the addition of a wine bar for weekly tastings. By year three the Vin de Pays website was receiving over 30,000 hits a month and doing close to 50% of the retail business. In 2006 the Vin de Pays website was mentioned in The Wall Street Journal as one of the “up and coming” websites in the country. “Vin de Pays” also had a first class beer department that represented about 10% of the  total sales.
The store was rated a “93” in The Beer Advocate and considered one of the finest beer stores in Southern California. The under $15 concept was a big hit and the proprietor was approached by many individuals who wanted to “copy” the concept and purchase a  franchise. Four franchises were eventually sold with two of these stores becoming quite successful. These store broke off from Vin de Pays after it was sold to a group of UPS investors in 2007 for $125,000.00.

The Owner/Proprietor has just moved back to Minnesota (my home state & my children live here now)  to open a replica of the Vin de Pays operation he sold in Long Beach California.

Franchise opportunities are very good with this business plan, and I am looking for a silent investor to a limited partner.
