Opportunity Summary
There is demand for such food (Taro, Casava, Sago & betelnut) in Australia because there are PNGs living there who want them and secondly I have been to Australia and experienced it. It would require investment in buying these raw food, packaging, storage and export to Australia and other countries. Australia now has these raw food imported from other pacific countries such as Fiji, Tonga...etc. PNG has the potential to export these food items Taro, casava and sago. Currently there is also a high demand for betelnut and Mustard, which I am currently sending to my relative in Cairns Australia via friends. I am seeing an opportunity to take this further and commercialise it.
Creating a company to deal with this opporuntiy is not a problem. The problem/issue is start up capital.
