Opportunity Summary

I am a UK citizen that has lived here in Mexico for the last 8 months,

I was in the Art business in the UK for 25 years and the Apparel and Gift business in the USA for 10 years in the 90's and have over 1500 artwork copyrights,together with Dye Sublimation equipment and large format printer etc in storage in Spain.

With the recent advent and improvement of Direct to Garment printing over the last 8 years or so with its ability of printing four colour images (CMYK) directly onto white or dark coloured garments (Using a white Ink layer) the time is now right to apply this technologyin a commercial printing operation.

Why Mexico?

Mexico, the USA and Canada are part of the North American Free Trade Association that allows favourable trading terms to its members. It is also agreed that the USA will be out of their economical downturn before any one else which together with the reduced cost of living and the low costs of manufacture in Mexico will be advantageous to a Mexican operation supplying ino the USA.

It would be my intention to initially sell into the USA using Respond to this opportunity and possibly through mail order catalogues.

Why Playa Del Carmen in the Yucatan Peninsula?

Both Playa Del Carmen and Cancun together with some smaller resorts are extremely popular with both Canadian and US tourists alike and are likely to be more popular now with European tourists looking for better value for money holidays than the expense of staying in the Euro Zone.

It has been my experience that trading from a holiday area has the advantage of more sales through customers being in a good state of mind and money in their pockets with the added benefit of more different tourists every week or so on a continuous basis especially in an area that has a very extended holiday period! I moved from Birmingham to Poole in the UK in 1982. It was the best move I made!

Merida in the Yucatan is home to many T-shirt and apparel manufacturers which can only be an advantage to have your major item suppliers on your doorstep

It would also be true to say that if you have to work and live anywhere then why not in an area that you can enjoy the lifestyle and the excellent environment?

I am also looking at the production of learning aids for use in Mexican schools that will help teach the English language to Spanish speaking students. This could be beneficial to any foreign schools who have need of the product.

Would need a place to operate out of together with more equipment than already at hand. The copyrights that I have in my possession have a value that would be considerable to any company wishing to start in this market, indeed it would be very difficult to start a business of this nature without any images that could be used from day one!

We would require however a graphic artist that could design shirts for the tourist areas and to supply to businesses with their own logo shirts.
