Opportunity Summary

I have been working as a residential educator, in a therapeutic environment, at a home for children that have been physically and psychologically abused. Some of them have been abused sexually; others have been beaten or neglected by their drug-abusing parents, prostitute mothers, violent alcoholic fathers and an extremely long etc.

My job was to work in unison with other social workers, school teachers, special education teachers, psychologists, and the projects psychiatrist who was the director. The children's home was in Spain's´ NUEVO FUTURO project SIRIO for children with specific and grave psychological and behavioural disorders suffering from emotional difficulties.

I have happily written logs and have filled out forms daily, on three children that were under my direct supervision and formed part of a psycho-educational team. I took part in group sessions, talked to the adolescents teachers at the local schools, followed up on a day to day basis, etc.

The future has brought me to Dublin, in pursuit of further learning in Conflict and Dispute Resolution Studies at Trinity College. My disposition is full-time. Lectures are twice a week during evenings, from 7pm to 10pm.

Moreover, I also have excellent references from my former job as well as a previous job teaching ESL preparing a group of 12 children for Cambridge exams.
